Worldpay has been the UK’s biggest payment processing services provider for several years now. Serving more than 400,000 merchants in at least 150 countries and more than 250,000 in the UK, the company is popular right across the board, with small businesses, especially, in awe of their services.

One of the biggest draws of the company is its wide range of payment options. Today, WorldPay supports more than 300 different payment methods.

Now Supporting Google Pay Too

The company has added Google Pay to its supported payments list, meaning that WorldPay merchants can now offer shoppers express checkout.

What sets Google Pay apart is the faster, easier checkouts. When customers use Google Pay to make online purchases, they aren’t redirected to third parties. Instead, they stay within the same site for the entire flow of the transaction. The result is usually faster, shorter, and more convenient checkouts, thus more cart conversions.

Even better, merchants don’t pay any extra fees when customers use Google Pay to pay for online purchases.

WorldPay and Google Pay Both Excited

Shane Happach, Head of Global Commerce at Worldpay, was the first to comment on the development, saying it will give their merchants “an edge in the increasingly competitive market.”

“Now, more than ever, consumers are moving online to do their shopping,” he said. “Deploying quick, secure, and user-friendly options at checkout, which is what you get with Google Pay, gives merchants an edge.”

“Google Pay enables a truly express checkout process where shoppers only need a single input to complete the purchase,” he continued. “The process is completed in seconds.”

Meanwhile, Google Pay representatives say that the partnership with Worldpay will be instrumental in advancing their mission to provide online shoppers with convenient checkout solutions.

“This integration with WorldPay will make it even easier for merchants to use our payment solution,” said Director of Emerging Commerce Platforms at Google, Spencer Spinnell.

Recent Worldpay reviews in the UK show that the company has a presence in more than 155 countries. Google Pay will now be able to expand its operations into those countries.

It Looks Really Promising

As you can see, if things go to plan, everyone involved, from the two companies (WorldPay and Google Pay) to online merchants and online shoppers will benefit immensely.
